What is Hero2

Hero2 is an Australian Rainforest Foundation project and an opportunity for all Australians to fight climate change and protect and extend Australia’s ancient rainforests.

The Australian Rainforest Foundation believes all Australians have a duty to protect the environment. For more than a decade it has, with the help of governments, corporations and private individuals, been working hard to protect one of the world’s oldest and most mega-diverse rainforests, the Daintree in Far North Queensland. This work remains a mere drop in the ocean – the Foundation now needs as much help as possible to protect all rainforests across Australia and to do this is recruiting Hero2’s.

How does Hero2 work?

The Hero2 ‘payroll’ giving program encourages employers and employees to stand side-by-side to make a significant long-term investment in our environment and the planet’s future.

Business and employees can become Hero2s with tax-deductible donations through their payroll. Individuals can also become a Hero2 from as little as $1 a day, through a one-off annual payment or a monthly payment with a credit card.

Tax-deductible contributions to Hero2 go to:

• Protecting old growth forests, home to some of the world’s richest plant and animal life
• Extending our rainforest by planting new mixed species rainforest trees to breathe life back into the environment; and
• Recovering rare, threatened and endangered plant and animal species.
